GALAXIES:
More Mysterious Than They Have the Right to Be!
| |
by
Dr. J. Ward Moody
Galaxies have been known for centuries and studied extensively for 100 years. So why do we still not know exactly how they formed, how they keep their shapes, what is in their centers, and what 90% of their mass is? To be honest, we aren't even exactly sure of how many there are in the universe or how large a typical galaxy is!
Come for a fun evening of many wonderful pictures, questions, and discussion.
The shows start promptly at 7 and 8 PM.
Tickets are $2 and will be on sale at the door from 6:30 to 7 PM and again from 7:50 to 8 PM.
There is no food or drink allowed in the planetarium.
Because it gets very dark in the planetarium, the shows may not be appropriate for some young children.

The Astronomical Society does not schedule outreach shows.
