V402 Cephei

The star in the middle of the field is V402 Cephei, the star I am researching for my senior thesis. It is a newly disovered variable in the constellation Cepheus. It is close to the star "Er Rai", which is also known as Gamma Cephei. You can find Er Rai by drawing a line through the pointer stars in the big dipper, through Polaris, and then to the top of the "roof" of Cepheus (which looks like a child's drawing of a house.)
