Baby Hails Bopp

This is actually two different negatives which I sandwiched together in the dark room. I had some problems because the negative of the comet was on color film while the negative of the baby was on black and white. I was fortunate, however, that the comet was where it was on the negative, because, although I had control of its position from right to left, I could not make it higher or lower. I was fortunate to be able to get the comet in the baby's line of sight.

About the Title:

This is a play on words. The name of the comet the baby is looking at is "Hale-Bopp". My mom and I used to get up before sunrise, look at the comet and say, "Hail, Bopp!" I wanted to remember that, so I included it in the title of this photograph.
